Eureka Goods Mercantile

Eureka Goods, a travel and outdoor merchandise store, is designed as an e-commerce website that features a range of travel and outdoor products.

CHALLENGES

The site launched successfully in late 2019, but it initially targeted a limited audience. The goal was to expand to a larger audience once the team addressed the challenges of launching a new brand and website. However, the onset of the COVID pandemic made growth increasingly difficult, and the group ultimately closed down in early 2021.

SOLUTION

In my research for the brand, I aimed to blend a modern aesthetic with a hint of rustic charm to create a well-rounded identity. I established the overall brand and guidelines to reflect the essence of the Pacific Coast, where Eureka Goods is located. I chose the name “Eureka” because it means “I have found it,” and it also pays homage to Eureka, California, which is nestled among the Redwoods.

I created a website that incorporated an e-commerce platform along with various other elements, including a blog. The site featured social media posts showcasing Eureka Goods merchandise and included customer posts that tagged the brand. Additionally, many of the initial merchandise designs were my own creations.
